What is a No Hub Coupling Assemby Used For

Type A clamps (also known as No Hub Coupling) have become the mainstream choice for flexible joint ductile iron pipe connections due to their convenient installation, reliable sealing, and strong spatial adaptability. Correctly selecting No Hub Couplings that meet quality standards is crucial for ensuring the long-term stable operation of the pipeline system.

The clamp body is made of high-quality stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance; bolts and fasteners must be hot-dip galvanized, and stainless steel should be used for buried applications; the rubber sealing ring must meet the technical requirements for aging resistance and media corrosion resistance. The joint should meet the system pressure requirement of ≤0.3MPa; for high-rise buildings or special working conditions, pressure and tensile failure tests are required for verification.

No Hub Coupling Assemby Used For Ductile Iron Pipe Connections:

1. The cut ductile iron pipe end should be polished smooth, burrs removed, and the cross-section ensured to be flat and vertical.
2. Insert the stainless steel clamp into the pipe, and the rubber sealing ring into the pipe opening, aligning the middle flange with the pipe end, with the other end of the rubber ring turned outwards.

3. Place the second pipe on the flange plane of the rubber ring, ensuring the two pipe ends are flush. Then, reset the folded rubber ring and evenly wrap around the pipe opening.

4. Move the clamp to the outside of the rubber ring and tighten the bolts evenly in a diagonal alternating manner, preventing overtightening on one side from causing clamp twisting.
